WPVM is seeking local show content that expresses the unique culture of Asheville and western North Carolina. We are looking for artists, musicians, actors, writers, community leaders, activists, and people involved and passionate about the progress of the Asheville community. Producers may air a live show or pre-record shows in the production room. Use the contact form below to request further information about participating at WPVM.

Become a DJ or Show host

So, you want to do a show on WPVM? Great! We’d love to have you join our volunteer team of diverse DJs or show hosts bringing a wide variety of content to the Asheville community and beyond.

1.WPVM is a non-commercial, FCC-licensed low-power FM radio station. Therefore, each show must follow FCC guidelines in terms of content (no swearing, slander, references to bodily fluids or functions, etc.). This includes any music played on the show as well as anything spoken by the host or guests, whether live in the studio or over a remote or phone connection.

2. No shows with religious or anti-religious themes.

3. No shows containing hate speech.

4. No shows that act as infomercials/advertisement/self-promotion.

We train new show hosts using one on one classes, and video tutorials.
