RALEIGH, N.C. (WLOS) — The North Carolina Supreme Court has ruled that primary elections will be delayed until May 17, 2022.
According to the NC State Board of Elections, this includes “the rescheduled municipal contests, and any separate filing period for those municipal contests in January.”
Today’s NC Court of Appeals order temporarily suspending candidate filing for all US House, NC Senate, and NC House contests.
The City will no longer pursue creating an emergency shelter at this location. As originally planned, the City, its partners and the community were unable to come to consensus around this project.
