Located on the campus of AB Tech, the museum is on the 2nd floor of the Elm Building
Folks from the Asheville Radio Museum came into WPVM studios for an interview on September 23, 2022. The museum is located on the campus of AB Tech in the Elm building. It is considered one of the very best radio museums in the country. The Asheville Radio Museum is open for regular hours on Saturday 1:00 – 3:00 PM and will arrange for other times if needed. School and other tours are welcome.

Stuart Smolkin and Peter Abzug are the guests representing the museum. Stuart is the curator and Peter is the marketing and social media manager. They spent a fun time in the studio talking about their love and appreciation for radio, it’s history and advancement, and how this magical medium keeps the world and the universe connected. Highlights of the museum are a rare Zenith console, a Gibson Girl that saved the lives of downed flyers, Atwater Kent Breadboard and many, many more.
